Student Sign-Up
Students are encouraged to join LSLAP for excellent practical experience in many different areas of law. If you have any questions or would like additional information about the program, please visit our office in Law Annex 1 or email the Operations Director at operations@lslap.bc.ca.
Fall Sign-Up
At the start of each school year, LSLAP completes a mass recruitment drive of UBC students (all years) for the upcoming school year.
To volunteer with LSLAP in the 2012/2013 school year, simply fill out and submit the sign-up form.
When you sign up, it automatically creates your File Tracking System (FTS) login profile, which will grant you access to LSLAP’s FTS. You will be able to log in
here using your student number and the password you designated when you signed up.
Please note that many people request west side or downtown clinic locations. While we will try to accommodate everyone, you may receive a clinic location that you did not request.
If you have any questions or need more information, please contact the Operations Director at operations@lslap.bc.ca.
Non-Fall and Non-UBC Law Student Sign-Up
If you wish to volunteer with LSLAP outside of the Fall recruitment period OR you are a non-UBC law student, please email the Operations Director at operations@lslap.bc.ca and fill out and submit the sign-up form.
Please Note: You must be a registered student at a Canadian university faculty of law to be eligible to volunteer with LSLAP.
Clinic Supervising Lawyer Sign-Up
Our Fall and Spring clinics are staffed by volunteer students and lawyers. If you are a lawyer and interested in volunteering at an evening clinic in the Fall or Spring, please contact Trina Barnes at trina@lslap.bc.ca for further information.
Trial Supervising Lawyers
Please help us continue the program by sharing your experience and knowledge with the next generation of lawyers.
LSLAP requires volunteer lawyers to supervise our students’ trials in either provincial criminal court or small claims court. For more information, please click here or contact our Operations Director at operations@lslap.bc.ca.
Donations
LSLAP is a non-profit organization with charitable status, which relies in part on donations from members of the public. We encourage donations and are extremely grateful for any contribution. Tax receipts will be issued for donations in excess of $10.00.
