Student Volunteering
We are not currently accepting applications for volunteers. Please check back in September for updates.
The volunteer program operates out of the LSLAP office in University of British Columbia. LSLAP provides free legal advice, services and representation to low-income people throughout the lower mainland of BC. Volunteers will gain practical experience in a variety of areas of law including criminal defence, small claims, employment, residential tenancy, consumer protection and immigration.
Volunteers are assigned clinics depending on client need, clinician availability, and location preference. Volunteers can also apply to be placed at a specialized clinic such as the immigration law clinic, animal law clinic and the Chinese-language clinic.
For more information, contact Sizhe Chen, Operations Director, at operations@lslap.bc.ca.
